This 1970’s “barn” house was doubled in size and designed as a home and studio for well-known children’s book author. A light-filled stair is encased in a folkloric tower, which was modeled after Norwell’s Colonial water tank towers. This open stair connects the new and the old portions of the house - linking with light - activating the space and inspiring movement throughout the different levels.
